Appointment Bookings
Can I book an appointment for my child?
Yes, we’d love to see your child. We see children from newborns to teens. You can book online or call us on (03) 9404 5279.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed. You can book directly online or through phone.
How long is the appointment?
Our children’s eye tests take around 30–40 minutes. We do give you up to 1hr so you can ask as many questions as you need.
Can I book online?
Yes feel free to book online using the booking button at the top of the page, it is quick and has all the available time slots.
Do I need a booking to see glasses?
Yes, we try to give everyone a tailored made experience so booking is necessary.
Do I need a booking to collect my glasses?
Yes, we recommend to book a fitting and collection appointment. This gives us time to adjust your glasses and answer any questions you may have.
Services Provided
Which ages do you see?
We see from new borns to adults.
What ages do you recommend an eye test?
If you every seems ok to you then we recommend starting at 3 years old. If you notice anything odd you can get them to come in sooner.
How do you test kids eyes if they can't read?
We have pictures, play matching games and a scanner that can tell us your child's prescription without them needing to say anything.
Do you do Ortho-K/Myopia control?
Yes, we offer Ortho-K lenses, DIMS lenses, and low-dose
atropine drops. We can explain which is best after an assessment.
Do you do Vision Therapy?
Yes, we offer both in-clinic and home-based therapy for issues like convergence, eye teaming, and amblyopia or lazy eye.
Do you see adults too?
Yes, we also offer comprehensive eye care for adults and families.
Fees and Billings
Do you bulk bill? / How much is a consultation?
Our eye tests are private billed.
For children between the ages of 4-13, it’s $150 and you will get $99 back
from Medicare, Under 4 years old you will get $65 back.
For adults it’s $110 and medicare will rebate $65. Any further scans and
treatments are additional but we’ll confirm with you before proceeding.
Do you take private health insurance?
Yes, we accept all health funds for glasses and contact lenses.
Does private health insurance cover the eye test?
Usually no because Medicare will rebate you. However, some companies do, best to get the receipt and check with your health insurance policy.
Why don’t I have to pay at Specsavers, OPSM or other optometrist?
Yes, the big chains in shopping centres are a public clinic where you get around 15min for an eye test and get glasses.
At our private clinic, we spend more time with you and explains things to you more in
depth.
We also focus on a lot of eye health care and prevention rather than just glasses.
Glasses and Contact Lenses
Can my child wear contact lenses?
In many cases, yes. We fit contact lenses for
children as young as babies to adults. It depending on your comfort levels, their maturity and eye health.
Do you sell glasses?
Yes, we have a range of children’s and adult frames. We also offer a 2-year accidental damage warranty on our kids' glasses.
How long does glasses take to arrive?
Usually 2 Weeks. We’ll call when they’re ready.
Can I claim Glasses/Contact lenses through my private health fund?
Yes, you can claim on the spot or we can provide you with
an itemised receipt for claiming.
Myopia Management
What options do you offer to slow down myopia?
We offer Ortho-K, DIMS lenses, and low-dose atropine drops.
The best option depends on your child’s age, prescription, and lifestyle.
What is ortho-K?
They are overnight contact lenses that gently reshape the eye to correct vision and help slow myopia progression. They're ideal for
active kids.
You only wear them to sleep and can see everything for 2-6 days after you take them off.
Existing Patients
Can I reschedule my appointment?
Yes, just give us a call, email or book another appointment online.
Have my glasses arrived?
We will text or call you once it is ready. Usually it takes around 2 weeks to arrive. Give us a call or email if it's been longer.
Can I order more contact lenses?
Yes, just email or call us and we will send you a payment link. Lenses will be sent to you home.

Where are you located?
We’re at Shop 2, 15/340 McDonalds Road, across the road from Westfield Plenty Valley.
It’s in Central South Morang shopping centre where woolworths, Tasman Meats and
Red Rooster is.
We’re behind the red rooster next to the nail salon.
Is there parking?
Yes, there’s on-site parking.
Are you open on weekend?
We’re open Tuesdays to Sunday by appointment only.
After Hours Appointments & Emergencies
My child has a red eye /something in their eye — should I come in?
We recommend being seen as soon as possible. Please call us and we can try to squeeze you in today. Our optometrist can also call you back.
Can I come in after 6PM?
Yes, we have an emergency clinics in South
Morang and Deer Park from 6pm to 12 midnight. We will have one of our doctors
call you for more information and to book a time to come in. Online Pre payment is required before your consultation.
How much does it cost for an after hours appointment?

You can choose to come into the clinic or do telehealth.
It costs $600 for appointments between 6pm to 11pm and $800 for 11PM onwards.
Depending on the reason for your consult you will receive $265 back from
medicare. The doctor can tell you more.
